Here are some of the juices from the Fit for life cookbook:

 

Apple-celery juice

------------------

6 apples

2 stems of celery, without leaves

 

(2.5 dl)

 

 

Carrot juice

------------

7-8 mediumsize carrots

Remove the green parts!

 

(1 person)

 

 

Carrot-celery juice

-------------------

2 mediumsize carrots

2 stems of celery, without leaves

 

(1 person)

 

 

Vegetable cocktail

------------------

6-7 mediumsize carrots

4-5 stems of celery

3 mediumsize tomatos

1 mediumsize green or red paprika, without seeds

handfull of spinach, parsley or lettuce

half a cooked beetroot

few drops of lemon juice

 

(3 persons)

 

 

Summer lemonade

---------------

1.25 dl lemon juice

3 tablespoons of honey (clover honey is very nice)

2.5 dl cold water

icecubes

12 fresh mint leaves

 

1. Mix lemon juice, honey, water and some ice cubes with a blender untill

the icecubes are ground up.

2. Put some of the icecubes and 3 leaves of mint in a glass. Poor the

lemonade over the icecubes and offer it to Krishna.

 

(4 persons)

 

Strawberry lemonade with mint

 

2 liters of water

2 bags of pepermint tea

12 twigs of fresh mint

12 strawberries

the juice of two lemons

0.5 dl of liquid honey

 

1. Cook the water. Poor the water over the teabags and 8 twigs of mint, and

leave it for ten minutes.

2. Mash the strawberries with the lemon juice and honey.

3. Take out the tea bags and the mint and stir the strawberry mixture

through the tea.

4. Put the tea in a glass, add a twig of mint and offer it to Krishna.

 

(4 persons)

 

 

Tomato-vegetable juice

----------------------

6 ripe tomatos

3 mediumsize carrots

5 stems of celery, without leaves

2 red paprika's, without seeds

1/4 cooked beetroot

few drops of lemon juice

 

(2 persons)

 

 

Tropical ambrosia

-----------------

600 gr watermelon, without seads

300 gr honeydew melon

300 gr fresh pineapple

200 gr apricots

200 gr red grapes, without seeds

6-8 oranges, or 5 dl fresh orange/apple juice

1 big banana

 

1. Put all fruits, except for the oranges and the banana, through the juicer.

2. Get the juice from the oranges, and mix the banana and the orange juice

with a blender.

3. Mix both and offer it to Krishna.

 

(8-10 persons)

 

 

Smoothy

-------

2.5 fresh apple or orange juice

1-2 fresh or frozen bananas

150 gr of fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, mangos, peaches, apples,

whatever) cut into small pieces.

 

1. Mix the apple or orange juice, the bananas and the pieces of fruit 15 to

20 seconds with a blender untill the mixture is soft and smooth.

2. Offer it to Krishna.

3. Enjoy!

 

(1 big smoothy)

 

 

Other smoothies (for 1-2 persons):

 

 

Strawberry smoothy

------------------

2.5 dl fresh apple or orange juice

6-8 fresh or frozen strawberries

1 fresh or frozen banana

 

 

Orange juice sunrise

--------------------

2.5 dl orange juice

1 frozen banana

4 dates

 

Etc.

 

 

Banana drink

------------

1 date, without skin and seed, or: one teaspoon of maple syrup

2.5 dl water

1 big ripe banana

 

1. Mix the date with half of the water with a blender.

2. Add the banana.

3. Add the water.

4. Offer it to Krishna.

 

(1 person)

 

 

Melon drink

-----------

 

1 ripe honeydew melon, or: half a water melon

 

(1 person)
