If it's mixed with flour, you could see that immediately by it's color. If should be a consistent solid yellow without any "snow" effect or other "distortion" of color. BTW, it is adviced to store turmeric as a root and grind it fresh according to your cooking needs. That way you'll get the best of its taste and power. Your servant, Bh.
