Madhavananda Prabhu,

As you seem to be at the point of drastic solutions, try this:

* Partition your hard drive into at least 2 partitions if you haven't done

so already

* Install Windows and *nothing* else

* Make a Norton Ghost image to the second partition

* Install the fonts and see if they work in Wordpad

* Install Internet drivers and update Windows with latest patches

* Make a Norton Ghost image to the second partition

* see if the fonts work in Wordpad

* Install 1st hardware device driver

* etc.

You can go back a stage at any point by restoring the drive image.

Hopefully by this process, you will be able to work out exactly at what

point it all goes horribly wrong, and thus what is causing the

problem. Let me know how it goes.

Dear Arjunanath Prabhu,

Thanks for your kind suggestion. I'm hoping to avoid the time lost of again

installing Windows and all softwares. We're already way behind schedule. But

what to do? If nothing else works we'll definetely try it.

Thanks again.
