(NASDAQ:MACR), the leader in digital arts, multimedia and Web publishing software, today introduced Macromedia Fontographer® 4.1 for Windows 95, Windows 3.1 and Windows NT, the most powerful way to modify and create fonts. Targeted to graphic designers and artists designing cross-platform fonts for the their print, multimedia and Internet projects, Macromedia Fontographer 4.1 for Windows has the flexibility and power to allow novices and professionals to create both Windows and Macintosh fonts. Macromedia Fontographer 4.1 for Windows has over 200 new features, offering every major feature available in the current Macintosh version 4.1, including easy and advanced modes for the customization and creation of PostScript Type 1, Type 3 and TrueType fonts. Fontographer 4.1 encourages font experimentation, allowing both the creation of lighter and heavier versions of existing fonts and the building of new fonts by blending between any two fonts on their system. Newly created fonts are royalty free. Fontographer also ships with 500 URW TrueType and Type 1 fonts.
