Macromedia Introduces Fontographer 4.1 for Windows

 

Cross-platform font creation software offers flexibility and power for

novices and professionals

introduced Macromedia Fontographer® 4.1 for Windows 95, Windows 3.1

and Windows NT, the most powerful way to modify and create fonts.

Targeted to graphic designers and artists designing cross-platform fonts

for the their print, multimedia and Internet projects, Macromedia

Fontographer 4.1 for Windows has the flexibility and power to allow

novices and professionals to create both Windows and Macintosh fonts.

 

Macromedia Fontographer 4.1 for Windows has over 200 new features,

offering every major feature available in the current Macintosh version

4.1, including easy and advanced modes for the customization and

creation of PostScript Type 1, Type 3 and TrueType fonts. Fontographer

4.1 encourages font experimentation, allowing both the creation of

lighter and heavier versions of existing fonts and the building of new

fonts by blending between any two fonts on their system. Newly created

fonts are royalty free. Fontographer also ships with 500 URW TrueType

and Type 1 fonts. Macromedia Fontographer 4.1 for Windows is a native

32-bit application, providing creative professionals with 32-bit

capabilities and performance across the entire Windows platform,

including Windows 95, Windows NT and Windows 3.1 or higher.

powerful graphic design software programs for the Windows and Macintosh

platforms: FreeHand, Macromedia xRes, Extreme 3D and

Macromedia Fontographer 4.1 for Windows is available at an estimated

street price of US $329. Macromedia Fontographer 4.1 for Windows is

shipping this week, and the Macintosh version 4.1 is also available now.

Current Fontographer for Windows users can upgrade for US $99.
