He is giving a very important consideration about when ekadasi starts, and

in fact, it is what I thought myself. I hope that Bhanu Swami will not be

upset.

 

Here is what the Maharaj said:

appreciate it very much and get enlightened with your wisdom. I very much

appreciate your

honest and straightforward answers. Recently there was a question on

Ekadasi and you

directed the questioner to get the answer from Bhanu Maharaja. One of your

disciples

provided the answer from Bhanu Maharaja that says that Ekadasi starts at

sunrise. However I would like to point out that this consideration that

Ekadasi starts at sunrise is the calculation of the smartas. The goswami

consideration is that it starts from Brahma Muhurta.

In Indian astrology it is a well-known controversy,. Hari Bhakti Vilas

clearly mentions

that Ekadasi begins with Brahma Muhurta. Needless to say that we are the

followers

of goswami calculation, and according to us Ekadasi should start from

Brahma

Muhurta - that is one hour and thirty-six minutes before sunrise. Instead

of throwing

this into your question and answer conference, I preferred to just let you

know. Please

consider what should be done about the answer.
