It depends. Krsna can also change one's destiny as He likes. Also the pure devotees can give their causeless mercy and thus create the piety of the individual. There is no rule that says that piety can increase the chance of attaining the three things mentioned by you. But it is better to be pious than impious since it allows one to hear from a devotee or to read a book or take prasadam easier and these wonderful transcendental activities certainly increase the chances to love Krsna.
