There is a verse in the Madhya lila CC where it is stated by Lord > Siva, aham vetti suko vetti vyasa vetti no vetti vah, I understand > Bhagavatam, Sukadeva understands it and Vyasa may or may not understand > it. Caitanya Caritamrta Madhya Lila Chapter 24 Explanation of Atmarama verse text 313 aham vedmi suko vetti vyaso vetti na vetti va bhaktya bhagavatam grahyam na buddhya na ca tikaya "[Lord siva said,]`I may know; Sukadeva Gosvami, the son of Vyasadeva, may know; and Vyasadeva may know or may not know the Srimad Bhagavatam. On the whole, the Srimad Bhagavatam, the spotless Purana, can be learned only through devotional service, not by material intelligence, speculative methods or imaginary commentaries".
