Ahimsa is NOT a quality of ksatriyas, even if they are devotees or even incarnations of God. They are all willing to fight and kill the enemy. Arjuna was always like this, ready to fight, but he was placed under Krsna's internal illusory energy so that Bhagavad Gita was spoken. After he heard from Krsna, his ideas of ahimsa were gone. Besides, Arjuna was not thinking of ahimsa, he was worried about killing his relatives. This is the real point.
