However, it is not certain when they will emerge, if ever. It is quite possible that such a personality is satisfied in the situation of being merged within the Lord and does not want to change that situation. Therefore it is not at all certain when or if a soul leaves the body of the Lord after merging in it. This condition is certainly liberation, but it is somewhat similar to merging into the brahman effulgence of the Lord. There is no individual activity, rather, there is a general feeling of bliss within the context of eternality. However, this bliss is rather limited compared to the blissfullness of service to the Lord in the spiritual sky. The soul is not lost, rather he is functioning minimally and his consciousness is limited to simply experiencing the eternal platform of bliss. This state is nothing like a coma or some other material state of consciousness or unconsciousness, but is rather a spiritual state. In this spiritual state there is a definite congnizance of existence for that is the primary situation of liberation. Further, as already explained, there is also some bliss, although limited in quantity.
