You cannot know, but that is not the point. The point is that this living entity has taken birth as your child and you must take care of him properly as a careful and loving father and mother. The future status of the child is not the issue here. It is your duty as a householder and it is not dependent on whether the child is a real pure vaisnava or not. And if you properly take care of the child and make him feel loved and wanted and safe within ISKCON, he will always want to stay in ISKCON and be a pure devotee. This is the real point. When the child feels unwanted and unprotected within ISKCON, he rejects ISKCON and becomes a materialist of sorts. Therefore it is essential that the parents are perfect parents and give the child the love, protection, and attention, it requires for proper growth in all respects. Then the spiritual culture, atmosphere and instructions will act favorably.
