Yes, we do that at the time of death of a devotee. Please contact

some learned brahmana for details. Actually, the offering of sraddha

patra is something that is part of our spiritual culture and not only

of VAD.

Maybe it has something to do with our culture and sastra? I don't

know. It is too complicated a question and I am just a neophyte in

these things, especially when you insist on adding receivers to my

answers.
