Yes, this is a symptom of ignorance. One who is determined to follow

the temple programs and perform his duty is in the mode of goodness.

To remain on that platform all the time is very difficult for those

who are not naturally in goodness. The only solution for a person

like you, or anyone who has the same problem, is to keep on picking

herself up every time she falls back and continue this process till

there is a maintenance of the higher platform. This might take a long

time, even many years, but when one has a natural taste for the

hearing and chanting process, then one can always be in goodness and

conquer over the lower modes. So in conclusion, what you are doing is

good and you should continue. Keep on being determined to continue

with the sadhana and gradually you will become more attached to it.

It should become as essential as eating.
