Guest guest
An individual person is important to us because he is a part and parcel of Krsna and especially if he is a devotee. When we see devotees, we should be friendly with them and deal with them in a loving way if they are not envious and are not improperly acting. If one is a madhyama adhikary and he sees a kanishta adhikary he can respect him within the mind but most likely will not develop a friendly relationship with him, although he will be friendly. A relationship implies a deeper connection which might not be appropriate in some cases. As far as whether to see everyone as a temple of God and then deal with everyone in a loving way, this is the vision of a maha bhagavata and is not possible for you (yet). Therefore when you try to come to this platform it is simply imitative and thus it can become impersonal. But a true maha bhagavata will never be impersonal and will always care for the well being of the different spirit souls he meets. The balance is to make friends with devotees who are equal with you and to render service to devotees who are superior. By friends it is meant that one shares the six kinds of loving exchanges as they appear in the Nectar of Instruction. Dadhati pratigrhnati guhyam etc.
