There was once a little village in the Himalayas with some Indians living

inside. The village was getting ready for the winter, the temple president

sent all the men to collect firewood in the forest. He "humbly" requested

his wife to go and visit the old sage living in the mountains to find out if

the winter was going to be cold or cold cold.

After 3 days and nights of climbing up and down hills, through forests

finally she arrived.

She asked the old sage "My husband is humbly asking you is the winter going

to be cold or cold, cold"

 

The sage got up and walked to the edge of the mountain side and looked over

the area and he said "This winter is going to be cold, cold".

 

Then she returned home after 3 days and nights of climbing. She said to her

husband "This winter is going to be cold, cold" The temple president then

sent all the young and old men to collect fire wood. He was still very

anxious about the winter and asked his wife to return to the sage and ask if

the winter was going to be cold, cold or cold, cold, cold.

After 3 days and nights of climbing hills, through forests, across rivers

she arrived and asked the sage" My husband is humbly asking if this winter

is going to be cold, cold or cold, cold, cold." Again the sage got up and

looked over the mountain and said "This winter is going to be cold, cold,

cold." So the tired women after 3 days and nights of climbing hills, through

forests, across rivers she returned home.

My dear husband the sage said" this winter is going to be cold, cold, cold".

The temple president in a panic shouted "All women, children, young and old

everybody go and collect firewood, this winter is going to be cold, cold,

cold".

In panic he turned to his wife and asked her to return to the sage and ask

if this winter would be cold, cold, cold or very cold.

So after 3 days and nights of climbing hills, through forests, across

rivers, wrestling bears, chanting her rounds, observing full morning

program, following the 4 regs, eating only Krsna prasadam finally she

arrived at the old sage. She asked him is this winter going to be cold,

cold, cold or very cold. He looked over the mountain and said " This winter

is going to be very cold"

The fried wife with an angry tone asked the old sage " Please tell me how

you know the winter is going to be very cold?"

The old sage took her to the edge of the mountain and said "Just see how

many people are collecting wood"
