Guest guest
Twilight... In the dark dingy godown of the sankirtan department, five figures sit ever so soberly: Ava, Sri, Vik, Bal and GNd. (GauraNitai (AT) aol (DOT) com) (Well... JTC is out and GNd is in! :-)) Ava: "Hmmmmm..... let me look at this nice crystal ball. hmmmmm.... what do we have here.... hmmmmm.... ahhh....ha!" "I see a a monkey, a deer, an elephant and a tiger", says he to Sri, GNd, Bal and Vik respectively seeing their previous lives. The four bhaktas snuggle together and enquire (athato previous-life jigyasa), "Oh mighty Ava, kindly reveal unto us, what further do you see in your amazing crystal" "Hmmmmm...., I see Vik the tiger." Vik's chest is expanding in great joy, as he enquires, "Yes... yes... tell me... tell me more..., O greatly learned sage" This day, the last day of your previous life, you woke up in the morning, and just felt great (yes, just like Tony the Tiger). Anyway, you just felt so good, you went out and cornered Sri, (a small little monkey then) and roared at him: "WHO IS THE MIGHTIEST OF ALL THE JUNGLE ANIMALS?" And our poor quaking little monkey, Sri, replied: "You are, of course, no one is mightier than you, O great Vik." Vik felt good. A little while later you confront GNd, the deer, and just bellow out: "WHO IS THE GREATEST AND STRONGEST OF ALL THE JUNGLE ANIMALS?" GNd is shaking so hard he can barely speak, but manages to stammer: "Oh great tiger, you are by far the mightiest animal in the jungle." Oh Vik prabhu, you the tiger, then being on a roll, swaggered, up to Bal, the elephant, who was quietly munching on some weeds, and roared at the top of your voice: "WHO IS THE MIGHTIEST OF ALL THE ANIMALS IN THE JUNGLE?" Vik was feeling sssooooo goooood... but was a bit confused "but why did Ava say, it was my last day of my most glorious previous life?", not knowing what was to happen. Ava continues, "Well, this elephant (Bal) grabs the tiger (Vik) with his trunk, picks him up, slams him down; picks him up again, slams him again, then again picks him up and shakes him until Vik the tiger is just a blur of orange and black, and finally throws him violently into a nearby tree. Vik the tiger casts his last sidelong glance at the elephant and says: "Man, just because you don't know the answer, you don't have to get so mad."
