These are two genuine news items that appeared recently on the CNN website:

 

#1:

CARACAS (Reuters) -- An unmanned Boeing 727 made an unauthorized

trip, without getting airborne, at Simon Bolivar International

Airport outside Caracas Wednesday.

 

The aircraft, its engines off, somehow slipped out of its wheel

blocks and rolled down a tarmac into three light planes, which

sustained heavy damage, authorities said.

 

#2:

DARWIN, Australia (CNN) -- If you're hoping to make record time

doing laps in the pool, perhaps you should consider employing a

training technique that one swim instructor in Australia's

Northern Territory claims yields record-breaking results: a

crocodile.

 

Swimming coach Mark Davies says his young swimmers are beating

the clock, now that they're being chased by a hungry "croc."
