The other day I was fortunate enough to go on parikrama in Varsana led by HH

Radhanatha Maharaja. There were around 700 devotees, mostly from Chowpatty

congregation, all blissful, enthusiastic, and very respectful to each other.

As the ecstatic procession was making its way through the narrow streets of

the village, chanting devotees packed the place so tightly, that there was

hardly any way maneuvering around.

All of a sudden, devotees in the center of the procession started hastily

moving aside, forming an aisle to give way to someone seemingly important,

as he was walking through the crowd in the opposite direction. Intrigued, I

pushed myself closer to the site to see who he was, that devotees were so

respectfully stepping out of his way.

It was just a big dirty pig, happily walking undisturbed through the

crowd...

MORAL: If exalted vaisnavas rush out of your way as you walk around, it does

not necessarily mean that you are a sage, king or the like. You might well

be just a big dirty pig...
