As a member of some mailing lists myself, I am painfully aware of this. To

be more exact, I hate it. It is because you are a Bcc: receiver. You have to

click answer and then add the mailing list as a receiver.

 

I would be so happy if Ramakanta would change it so that one is added as a

Cc: instead of a Bcc: for letters imported from outside our system where one

is not personally listed as a receiver. But he doesn't like to, because it

is not according to the standard outlined in the RFC's.
