Haribol Ramakanta Prabhu,

PAMHO AGTSP

>After you did that, they know your e-mail address (for sending you spam)

>and your PAMHO password.

No they don't. Read below. That is why you do not have to register with

their service. I myself worried about this, but my fellow web programmers

pointed it out that it is indeed safe to use mail2web.

Offcouse it is one's own choice :)

I have been using this for over a month now with all my private email

addresses, (they are all spam free, and they still are :) )

>Better you use a mail program (like Outlook) and download your PAMHO mail

>through POP3 directly from mail.pamho.net.

Yes I do use that, but when I am at the university, work or travelling, I am

not able to setup a mail client for use with PAMHO.

Anyway, I thought it was handy, one can decide for him/herself.

ys,

Vinod-bihari das

mail2web is a pure HTML application. That means there are no Java or ActiveX

controls that potentially represent security risks. To ensure addition

anonymity, mail2web does not use any form of cookies to track your

activities while using any portions of the application. Unlike other

web-based e-mail services such as Hotmail© or Mail©, mail2web is truly

unique since you are not required to register to begin using the

application. Registration with other services does provide some advantages

for regular users, but it certainly increases the possibility for a privacy

breach. In many cases, the most common result is being subjected to annoying

spam messages simply because you registered for a service. With mail2web all

your activities and e-mail content remain absolutely private, regardless if

you register or not.

mail2web does not compromise any corporate security policies. Our

application was entirely architected with a corporate IT department in mind.

Security is always considered highly important. That is the reason why Java,

ActiveX and cookies were purposely avoided in the development of the

application. If additional security is required, use the SSL version from

the main page.

If you have any comments or suggestions to improve the service, please write

us at suggestions (AT) mail2web (DOT) com. Since mail2web is a free service, we cannot

guarantee an individual reply. Since the birth of mail2web in 1996, we have

received tens of thousands of comments and suggestions. Without these

e-mails it would make it very difficult for us to continually improve the

application.
