Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Using: WinCOM 42b, WinXP If I set 'Options->Fonts->West European, variable pitch' to, for example, 'Balarama' or 'ScaGoudy,' fonts included with the Folio Vedabase, then copy some text including diacritic markings from the Vedabase into a new message, the diacriticised characters do not display properly. However, if I paste the same text into MS-Word, highlight it and select the same font, it displays the diacritics correctly. One anomaly is that if I then highlight the text I pasted into WinCOM, copy it and paste it into MS-Word, then display it in the same font, it displays the diacriticised characters in the same fashion as WinCOM, ie. incorrectly. It seems that the only fonts I can use to display things properly in WinCOM are the WinCOM v1, v2 and v5 fonts (or f1, f2 and f5 if you're using fixed character pitch.)
