Guest guest
Hare Krishna. Recently I had occasion to work on the WinCom installation of one devotee who had lost his password, among other things. In the course of the troubleshooting session, I changed the login name in options - general from his name (Kalakantha ACBSP) to mine (Balarama Lok) and entered my password. I did this so I could get online to try some passwords for him. I got online but we couldn't get the password right. After getting his password reset by Raktambara, the WinCom installation under discussion worked fine for several days. Then one morning when Kalakantha Prabhu loaded WinCom it informed him that "The user Kalakantha ACBSP has been changed to Balarama LOK." Neither changing back to Kalakantha ACBSP in options - general nor editing WinCom.ini would remedy this situation. WinCom just kept on changing back to Balarama Lok. This was WinCom 30. I have now surmised that this technique for entering my user info on a foreign WinCom is not so good. In the future I'll simply create a new user. But still I'd like to know what happened... What is causing this problem and how can it be fixed? Where is the silly thing getting this Balarama LOK? Thanks -- Hare Krishna -- your servant, Balarama Dasa
