Error opening database

If, when trying to open wincom, one gets the message that

there is an error opening the database is there any way

to fix the fcabinet.cab from outside wincom. When I

rename the fcabinet.cab to another name and then start

wincom it starts fine and creates a new cab file. But the

problem now is how to fix the old one?
