All WinCOM versions since version 7 support diacritics, provided you have WINCOM.FON. And all versions display the diacritics in the same way, except that error with u-macron which was shown as u-dot in the fixed pitch font. If you do not want diacritics in mail from COM then do once "change setting char ascii" (strip Sanskrit and non-Sanskrit diacritics) or "change setting char iso" (convert Sanskrit diacritics to Harvard-Kyoto).
