Guest guest
> Did you received my filing cabinet as a private mail? Yes. And now I found the reason for the GPF at 0137:00402542. It happens if there are many receivers and there is no "To:" receiver or the "To:" receiver is listed somewhere later. This bug will be fixed in WinCOM 29B. Until then make sure the first receiver is a "To:" receiver, that means, before you add Cc receivers, you should go to the end of the list. Explanation: In order to make the displaying of the text list as fast as possible WinCOM reads only the first 256 bytes of each text from the disk. So if the first "To:" receiver is not within these 256 bytes, WinCOM crashes. > I also wanted to ask that after I upgrade to wincom 29a, whenever I Login > before the crash, my id number (1597) will appear as my login name in COM > instead of my name. Why is it so? This makes sure that you always will be able to login, even is the sysop changes your name. > Meanwhile what can I do? If you empty the out-basket, you will be able to login again.
