Guest guest Posted October 1, 1997 Report Share Posted October 1, 1997 If you can connect to AOL through the dial-up networking of Windows 95 then you can use either the 16-bit or the 32-bit version of WinCOM. Otherwise, if there is only WINSOCK.DLL from AOL then you must use the 16-bit version of WinCOM and if there is only WSOCK32.DLL from AOL then you must use the 32-bit version of WinCOM. Further if AOL's Winsock is neither in the Windows directory nor in the DOS PATH then in the Connection Setup of WinCOM you must specify the directory of AOL's Winsock.
