I don't understand what you means by this.

That means "default font attribute" as specified for the tag. For example:

 

@ITALIC PARA = italic <M> normal <D> again italic.

 

(<M> is F1 and <D> is FD)

This checks if the number of characters in each paragraphs is small enough

for HJ. (HJ cannot process paragraphs longer than 4608 characters).

Ctrl-Left goes to the previous word. If it does not in your case then in

ED.CFG you have assigned a key or a macro to Ctrl-Left.

You quoted from a old documentation. In the latest HJ.DOC it says:

-i don't hyphenate italic words by sanskrit hyphenation routine

-j don't hyphenate or spell-check italic words

 

"-i" means "italic words are not Sanskrit words".

 

Did you read HJ.DOC? It's in HJ68.ZIP that I uploaded.
