Guest guest
Dear Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I have a different laptop to the one I tried installing Win2K on last year. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to install for the same reason. When I run the installation program, it blows out with the message: ~0000.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. As I have only one PC-card slot, I tried copying all the files from the (external) CD to the HD. No luck. I tried installing the driver for the PC-card hardlock (as that is the only one I have; I don't have the parallell port one), but when the New Hardware Wizard eventually lets me browse for the setup files, and I point it to the Folio\Hardlock\PCMCIA folder, it tells me that 'the location does not contain information about your hardware'. But it does! I tried installing the files in the Folio\Hardlock\Winnt folder. No luck. I have the same Folio running under Win98 on the same laptop, with the same PC-card hardlock, with the same driver; no problems there. Has anyone encountered similar problems and found a solution? Can any kind soul help me? Please! Your servant, Vraja Kumara das
