>Salt is worst than sweets according to Sivananda:

>Salt is the worst enemy. Too much salt excites passion.

Wow!!! What a revealing !

Regarding saltless diet- is it not harmfull for helth? Especialy in such

countryies like India with tropical climate. It is said that it should be

regular intake of salt during hot season to re-fill the lost with

perspiration salt. Also during dysentry or cholera it is essential to take

some electrolites or saline water - because if it decrease in body lower

than particular level - then it may cause even death. Also there is known

one kind of deases when people have some buble on their neck - becase of

luck of iodin, which usualy supplied for body with iodinized salt.

But at the same time excess salt is harmfull - for example not recommended

for those with liver problems. Also it accumulates in the joints and other

parts of bones and at old age especially creates a lot of troubles. Even

there are some natural methods to get rid of it.

Another question about black salt or sea salt - is it also as unfavorable as

white salt? sometime it is said that it is less harmfull.

Some times recommended to use lime or lemon juce instead of salt to enhance

the taste. Is there any other alternatives?

Another consideration is that excess of anything is not good - arthat

everything must be taken to some particular limit, not causing any problems.

So the question is - what is the limit?

The reason i'm asking above questions - is that i'm eating a lot of salt

since my childhood, i just can't eat food which is not salted, although i

realize bad effect of it. Last few months i'm using only black salt.

I hope it would be interesting and usefull for others also to get answers to

these questions, especialy if given by some specialists as ayurvedic doctor.

thanks. Hare Krsna.
