Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am not the person running the website, but the idea that it does happen naturally and somewhat regularly to brahmacaris seems to be corraborated in the following statement of SB (11.17.25): reto n€vakirej j€tu brahma-vrata-dharaƒ svayam avak…rŠe ’vag€hy€psu yat€sus tri-pad€ˆ japet SYNONYMS retaƒ—semen; na—not; avakiret—should spill out; j€tu—ever; brahma-vrata-dharaƒ—one who is maintaining the vow of celibacy, or brahmacarya; svayam—by itself; avak…rŠe—having flowed out; avag€hya—bathing; apsu—in water; yata-asuƒ—controlling the breathing by pr€Š€y€ma; tri-pad€m—the G€yatr… mantra; japet—he should chant. TRANSLATION One observing the vow of celibate brahmac€r… life should never pass semen. If the semen by chance spills out by itself, the brahmac€r… should immediately take bath in water, control his breath by pr€Š€y€ma and chant the G€yatr… mantra. There is also a similar statement in Manu-smrti (2.180-181) where it says: 180. Let him [a brahmacari] always sleep alone, let him never waste his manhood; for he who voluntarily wastes his manhood, breaks his vow. 181. A twice-born student, who has involuntarily wasted his manly strength during sleep, must bathe, worship the sun, and afterwards thrice mutter the Rik-verse (which begins), 'Again let my strength return to me.' (translation by G.Buhler) Also, Swami Sivavavna in his book Practice of Brahmacarya says (page 125): "Night pollution is of two kinds, namely, physiological pollution and pathological pollution. In physiological pollution, you will be refreshed. You should not be afraid of this act. You should not mind if the disgarge of semen is very occasional. YOu need not worry about it. This is also a slight flushing of the apparatus or a periodical cleansingthrough a slight overflow from the reservoir in which the semen is stored up. This act may not be attended with evil thoughts. The person may not be aware of the act during night. Whereas, in pathological pollution, the act is accompained with sexual thoughts. Depression follows. There is irritability, languishment, laziness, inability to work or concentrate. Occasional discharges are of no consequence, but frequent nocturnal pollutions cause depression of spirits, debility, dyspepsia, low spirits, loss of memory, severe pain in the back, headache, burning of the eyes, drowsiness and burning sensation at urination or during the flow of semen. THe semen becomes very thin." Your servant, Madana-mohana das
