Guest guest
> Does this mean that for full brahmacarya we have to be active for Krsna > with all:body-mind(heart)-inteligence or words in preaching? The point made here is one should not only be physically active in Krsna Consciousness but also absorb his mind & heart in remembering about Krsna and experience the higher taste always especially by chanting Hare Krsna in the early morning hours. Then automatically the veerya is raised to the brain and it transforms into ojus shakti. This is a byproduct of chanting Hare Krsna. The main aim is to get love of God. > If something is missing because of karmic conditioning is it possible to > rectify it?(in the western countries) I would say that especially in Western countries (or for that matter anywhere) one should be very careful about association with the opposite sex. If such dealings becomes a regular affair and lead to familiarity then the downflow of semen is guaranteed. The dealings of a brahmacari with the opposite sex should be as close to zero as possible. A brahmacari should not at all be interested in preaching to ladies. ISKCON's SP Letter, 7/4/70: "He didn't like very much preaching amongst women." (SP about his Guru Maharaj) Prabhupada also said that ISKCON is facing so many problems inspite of having a perfect acarya & perfect books because the sannyasis & brahmacaries associate too much with women. There is no stricture that brahmacaris cannot preach to women, but after a woman's interest in Krsna consciousness is aroused, it is better that further preaching to her be done by women devotees. Otherwise, if a brahmacari repeatedly preaches to the same woman, the fire and butter principle is sure to act. (From BIKC by Bhakti Vikasa Swami) > Is this just repetition or it should be: > If the Veerya is steady, the drishti is steady too.? Unsteady drishti also makes the veerya unsteady and unsteady veerya will lead to agitated drishthi. > For the perfect cicle of > steadyness:Prana(food)-mind-veerya-drishti-mind... I think it should be: Disturbed Mind - Disturbed Drishthi - Unsteady Prana (10 lifeairs) - Unsteady Veerya - Which in turn makes the Mind even more disturbed...
