For leafy vegetables he said that since at that time (right now) the rainy season is starting in India and plenty of bugs and all sorts of insects are everywere, and especialy in those leafy vegs. It becomes practicaly impossible to wash them out, so in order to prevent breaking our vegetarian diet, we fast from them. He gave explanation for all of them, but I forgot what it was. Sorry. What I do remember is that all of reasons were practical and basicaly related to Asian climate. Does anyone else has any other explanation? ys Kanakabja das
