I don't know why some packets of the stuff I buy are labelled sago 'seeds'. Anyway - sago is made from a starchy flour obtained from the pith of a sago palm Tapioca is a similar starchy flour obtained from the roots of the cassava plant. (Tha above is authoritatively taken from the World Book dictionary) >From the flour, these round particles are manufactured.
