Here is one example of a popular urban legend that seems to have no basis

in reality. My son and several of his classmates read this claim too

several years ago and were so fascinated that they decided to replicate it

as a school science project. Although the teeth became stained, not a

single one dissolved - not even a tiny bit - even though they left them in

there for much longer.

 

Having said this, I completely agree that Coke and Pepsi are not

particularly good for you and we certainly don't keep them in our house.

However, one doesn't need to resort to exaggerations and lies to make that

decision.
