Yummy recipe for veggie burgers

This is especially good for getting kids to eat some protein!

 

2 C oats, ground fine

1 1/2 water

 

1/2 C nuts, ground well in blender (peanuts for best flavor)

1/2 C beans, ground in blender (garbanzos are good)

2 C dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs

1 Tbls italian season

5 Tbls Braggs liquid aminos

1 tsp salt

1/2 grated celery

 

Boil water, then add oats and mix well. Combine all ingredients together and

mix well. Add to cooked oats, mix well until uniformly mixed. Make desired

size patties (approx. 1/2 inch thick) and fry in a couple of inches of ghee

or oil. (Not sure how they come out if baked, but probably worth a try).

Serve on buns or bread with fixins' like burgers.
