Dear Shrirang Prabhu,

Dandavat Pranams. Sri Sri Guru-Gaurangau Jayatah!

As promised, few days ago I have posted a report on Ramdas Swami's writings

where I discovered strong impersonalist statements. I have attached a file

to my report with excerpts from his book "Dasbodh" to provide proof for my

statement.

Did you have a chance to read my report and the attached text file

(Ramdas.txt)? It clearly shows that what I am suggesting is true. Even

though Ramdas Swami is a well-known saint in Maharashtra and a prominent

follower of Rama, his writings show his true nature. Vivekananda was also a

well-known saint in India, so was Ramakrishna...

Such personalities were very intelligent, educated and charismatic and have

attracted many people (mostly to themselves, not to God). Sometimes even

Vaisnavas fall under their spell. Once I have seen a big poster of

Ramakrishna in pujari's private room in Tota Gopinath Temple of Jagannatha

Puri. To be honest with you, I was shocked! There is nothing wrong with the

picture itself: we see many different faces around us everyday, and not all

of them are saintly, to say the least. But the very fact that a Gaudiya

Vaisnava priest--who is serving one of the most revered Deities in Gaudiya

community--would keep such image in his private room was totally devastating

to observe. Upon seeing this I felt that something was not exactly right

there. And sure thing: when I went there on the night of Sri Krishna

Janmastami in expectation of big celebration, I found the Temple locked up,

not a single person present!

Our consciousness if formed of images that we meditate upon. If we keep an

image of Sri Krishna or His dear servants before our internal and external

vision, we will attain Their mercy and become pure Vaisnavas. We have to be

very careful what we put before our eyes and what we let come into our ears

and minds. If we let ourselves meditate on wrong objects instead of Sri

Krishna, some day we may find the temple of our soul empty and locked up...

Please examine my findings about Ramdas Swami, and if you think I am wrong

please explain why. However, if we both agree that Ramdas Swami was an

impersonalist, we have to also agree that it is not beneficial for Vaisnavas

to read his books, poems or biographies.

Please do not hesitate to write to me personally if you have any questions

or comments. And please forgive me if I offended you in any way.

Your servant,

Gauri das
