Hathi = elephant

Ghoda = horse

pal = protector/owner

ki = of

jai(jaya) = all glories to

kanhaiyalal = Lord Krishna

ki = of

nanda = Nanda Maharaj

Ghere = in/at the house

anand = bliss

bhayo = was

Apparently this is "brij bhasa" the language of Vraja Mandal...

In my 26+ years in India... I just don't remember this being from any

"cinema" as the "indian movies" are known as here...

It's a traditional, simple glorification of Lord Krishna... sung especially

on Sri Krishna Janmastami.

If glorification of Lord Krishna is not bona fide... in the "Krishna

Consciousness" movement... well, then I'm not sure what IS bona fide. :-)
