Guest guest
Dear and respected Bhakti Vikas Swami Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON. All glories to Your Holiness. >But before even brahmanas can discuss, they have to have a mutual and clear >understanding of epistemology and hermeneutics. Without that, there cannot >be systematic dialectic exchanges and therefore there cannot be a clear >conclusion.> I have a few doubts on your above text. Kindly please dispel my doubts. 1. What exactly is epistemology and hermeneutics? Based on your text I understand that it is a system or set of rules for a philosophical discussion / debate. 2. Is this required for every devotee or only those who act in the department of protection of the parampara. For example Bhakti Vinode Thakur accepted the post of 'Jadudhar' or sweeper in the 'Namahatta' or market place of the Holy Name. His duty and responsibility was to sweep off all the apasiddhantas from the market place. Or for those devotees who go to other schools of thought, challenge and defeat other philosophies. 3. What principles did Vedanta Philosophers incorporate from the Nyaya and Mimamsaka schools? 4. What is the undefeatable system Madhva has formulated? 5. I humbly beg your Holiness to propose epistemology and hermeneutics for all the discussions philosophical or otherwise on the COM, so that we all can try to follow and see how it helps our society. seeking your blessings, Your humble servant, Bhadra Govinda Das.
