The program version number is indeed 4.01. I wrote H.H. Banu Swami with my

initial question:

 

Can anyone tell me how important it is to break Ekadasi fast within the

range of time given in the calendar? My understanding has been that if the

fast is not broken within the proper time range, the fasting becomes useless

or there is no benefit derived from the Ekadasi fast. Is this correct? What

happens if someone fails to break fast precisely within the one minute

period on October 24th? This break fast time will fall right at the

beginning of our Deity greeting here at Gita-nagari. What should the

devotees do? What should the Pujari do who will be offering arotik during

that time?

 

His Holiness answered as follows:

 

> the for breaking ekadasi is after sunrise and before the dvadasi tithi
