I've always thought it was because Lord Rama was > > the Supreme Personality of Godhead and Yudhisthira Maharaja was a Ø > Vaisnava. Rama or Yudhisthira have performed well because there was varnasrham of course. When the modes deteriorate, then even great devotees like Arjuna or Pariksit could not do much. Both have to be there, varnasram and great devotees, for a good synergy. When Prabhupada came to America he had great success because of his determination and because the social climat was ripe for his preaching. See if nowadays great devotees, like Narayan Mj for example or any other, could fill up temples with new devotees in America? > Why did Srila Prabhupada say that establishing Ø varnasrama was FIFTY PER CENT of his mission? You will never find that statement anywere in his tapes, books or private conversations with at least two different devotees or two devotees together who have heard that. It is difficult to base an argumentation with such heavy insistence like you are doing. > In fact, varnasrama is so important in Society that even Lord Krishna had > this system implemented in His very own capital City of Dvaraka. There is a difference between Dwarka, 5000 years ago, and the year 2000 A.C. You should put things in perspective when you give an example. > When are we going to it into our thick heads that both Lord Krishna and Ø Srila Prabhupada want varnasrama in ISKCON, Why shall we always want to impose our view by force ? Isn't Krsna so beautifull that people will love us even if they don't agree with us? Why can't we just talk like brothers and sisters? Why even amongts ourselves shall we be so rude?
