Guest guest
My dear Bhadra Govinda Prabhu, Onfortunately, you have not understood the devotees. Nobody is saying that the GBC is at fault for all the negative things that have happened in ISKCON (as you yourself have listed). Simply you have misunderstood. What others are saying is that the GBC was given the service by Srila Prabhupada to step in when a problem arises and solve it before it gets out of control. This is the service Prabhupada gave them: to maintain the standards he has set, and to manage the society when problems arise (ISKCON's ultimate managing authority). After 25 years devotees have finally come to the conclusion that the GBC has failed to do their duty as a body (we are not speaking about individual personalities here). You have not been present for all these lapses in service, but those who have been all along, have ALREADY gone through the who, what, where, when and how that you are now proposing. Nobody is saying that uour idea is not a good idea, what devotees are saying is that you are 25 years too late! We've already gone through that process and the answers are already history. The movement today is a shadow of what it was when Srila Prabhupada was here. But you are thinking that the shadow is so nice, much nicer than material life. Trust me, you will be far more satisfied when Srila Prabhupada's original standards are again the norm in ISKCON. Then, you will understand what we are trying to accomplish. Therefore, please allow us to continue and don't ask us to go back and ask how, when, where, who, and why all over again. Time is precious and is not meant to be wasted by simply asking questions for 25 years! This is something you should do if you are not convinced that we have done a proper job. After your analysis please let us know what conclusions you have come to. Thank you. yours in service, vaiyasaki dasa...
