Akhilesvara Prabhu PAMHO AGTSP Sorry about the delay in responding to this but here are some references: "The first time, several devotees were with Srila Prabhupada. We knew that his health was getting weaker. He was talking to the devotees about his imminent departure. 'I have no lamentation,' Prabhupada said. He paused for a few seconds, and then he said, 'No, I have one lamentation.' A devotee asked, 'Because you have not finished translating the Srimad Bhagavatam?' Prabhupada replied, 'No, that I have not established varnasrama.' "On the next occasion, some time later, I was with Srila Prabhupada in his room when he made the statement, 'Fifty percent of my work is not complete because I have not established varnasrama.'" If you have doubts about the particular devotee who gave the testimony then that is another issue. I personally find it consistent with everything else Srial Prabhupada taught us about the importance of varnasrama dharma. > > In fact, varnasrama is so important in Society that even Lord Krishna > > had this system implemented in His very own capital City of Dvaraka. > > There is a difference between Dwarka, 5000 years ago, and the year 2000 > A.C. You should put things in perspective when you give an example. The differences are understood to most, but the principles are the same: There must be varnasrama divisions according to the time, place, and circumstances. > > When are we going to it into our thick heads that both Lord Krishna and > ¯ Srila Prabhupada want varnasrama in ISKCON, > > Why shall we always want to impose our view by force ? Isn't Krsna so > beautifull that people will love us even if they don't agree with us? Why > can't we just talk like brothers and sisters? Why even amongts ourselves > shall we be so rude? Among friends there is always some heated discussions but they don't fallout over it or take it personally. Srila Prabhupada also stated that when there is debate the normal etiquette is not observed. Anyway, on my part there is no malice intended, and I hope all others will take that into account. Hope you are well. Hare Krishna. ys ada
