Different personal servants

Different personal servants may approach their service in somewhat differing

ways. For instance, one personal servant may in general facilitate other

disciples to have much association of their guru; whereas another servant

may be more protective, considering the strain of the guru having to

constantly meet others and the need for him to have time for writing and

other activities. Yet another servant may be somewhat in between these two

approaches, and consider each individual devotee who wishes to approach the

guru and whether his service is important enough to warrant a personal

interview.

 

I was recently told that as a broad generalization Srutakirti Prabhu, Hari

Sauri Prabhu, and Tamal Krishna Maharaja had these different approaches in

their service to Srila Prabhupada.
