Dear Maharaja,

 

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

If there is something major like deities missing crowns, the crown falls

over Their face, flute missing etc., then certainly the curtain should be

closed and adjustments made.

 

I remember one time in Mayapur the pujari forgot Madhava's flute then wanted

to close the curtain to put the flute in. Jananivasa prabhu told the pujaris

to wait until everyone had gone around the back of the altars on Srila

Prabhupada's procession before closing so that the darsana would not be

disturbed.

 

It seems in some temples that it has become a common practice to close the

curtains even to make the smallest adjustments. This should be avoided. If

it is only a small thing then better to wait until the bhoga offering or

something like that.
