Related incident: One devotee said(!) at Soho Street Temple once(!) a couple of years ago when this same topic came up, that 500 years ago to have red or blue cloth in India meant a lot of dye which was expensive, therefore only the richest people had it and it was a sign of affluence. For this reason it is mentioned not to be worn in the temple, because as we know devotees prefer to be humble and not 'upstage' Krishna in His Deity form. In this day and age it is not the same circumstance but devotees try to follow for completeness' sake. However according to kala, desa, patra... Sorry about the vagueness, maybe someone else remembers more specifically. Your servant, Vraja-kumara das _____________________ Busca O serviço de busca mais completo da Internet.
