Guest guest
Hare Krishna, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Please help trace this story. "One Indian-bodied disciple was proud of being pure from birth and coming from a brahmana family. He wanted sannyasa initiation from Srila Prabhupada Srila Prabhupada may have said that because of his pride, he does have the simplicity to accept the sannyasa order. But the disciple insisted. But Srila Prabhupada was very firm with him, but still he wasn't satisfied. He was trying to force Srila Prabhupada to give him sannyasa. And eventually Srila Prabhuapada told him, "If I give you sannyasa and you make one mistake, Lord Caitanya will never forgive you, but if I give sannyasa to my disciples from the West and even if they make many mistakes, Lord Caitanya will always forgive them." I cannot remember from whom I heard the above. Or if others may know, please do trace the story about the Indian devotee who was proud and wanted sannyasa. I look forward to hearing from someone who knows and may know more details. And I also welcome to be corrected. Thank you. Hare Krishna.
