Guest guest
Sri Dennis-ji! Thank you so much for posting this valuable resource material ! i just finished reading the translation of Devi suktam on your web page and Gosh! may i say that this web page is a work of art! For some reason, we learn more about the Vedas from the western scholars than from our own Sanskrit pundits. Wendy Donnigar has my apppreciation in spite of her many prejudices for she did try try her hand at translation of the vedas! i particularly enjoyed reading this from Devi UPANISHAD Great goddess, who art thou?' She replies: `I am essentially Brahman. >From me has proceeded the world comprising Prakriti and Purusha, the void and Plenum. I am all forms of bliss and non bliss. Knowledge and ignorance are Myself . . . I am the entire world. I am the Veda as well as what is different from it. I am unknown. Below and above and around am I.' Thank you Dennisji for introducing Paula Marvelly to us. I wonder if you have heard of Eilleen walker 111 and her book of poems Moon soft shining? regards ps- is it your 'hummility' that makes you say that you know nothing about this topic ? One who knows does not say and one who says in reality does not know anything - smile! advaitin, "Dennis Waite" <dwaite> wrote: > > Regarding this topic and also the question of "What is the meaning of > Ambhrani sukta?" and who is vak/vaag/vach: - > > This is not a topic about which I know anything at all - but see the chapter > from Paula Marvelly's book 'Women of Wisdom: A Journey of Female > Spirituality through the Ages' entitled 'Vach'.
