Guest guest
Dear all, Could you please let me know about Ekakshi Coconuts? Do they have a hole open where the stem connects? Have they been drained, or is the coconut air tight with water inside? Thanks in advance... Best rgds, Richard
Guest guest
Dear Pt Tata, Namaste!!! Thanks, I did write him and waiting his reply. Here in Thailand they also have one eyed coconuts but they drain the water out of the small hole where the stem connects. They say it has to dry out, otherwise it gets rotten!? I'm trying to find out the truth. In Thailand they also have Nirakshi Coconut they sell for one lakh Baht ($2500). That is supposed to be ultra rare. Guest guest
Dear group members! namaskar to all! Ekakshi coconuts(nariyal) doesnot have any hole at opening... Normally an ordinary coconut has 2 eyes and 1 mouth....thats the only reason its used in temple for offerings....when coconuts are offered to god...it gives the punya of human sacrifice. The main diference between ekakshi and normal coconuts is that ekakshi coconut has just one eye and one broad mouth(same like of an human) The water is not drained and there is no hole near the stem part.. I personally dont believe in draining of water as its not good to do altarations with natural objects....these should be kept as it is.. thanks amit uniyal

Guest guest
dear members and amitji, i have read that the ekakshi is to be kept vertical in the puja ghar and not horizontal with the stem towards the god as normally other nariyals are kept..a small booklet also mentioned that there are two bindus (or points) on the ekakshi while there are three on a normal coconut, the two being the eyes and the one being the mouth)..however, i can see only the mouth on the ekakshi i have...do you personally have any results or experiences of worshipping the ekakshi? how do you say is it kept in the puja ghar? i have experienced that sacred objects like hatha jodi or ekakshis need to be worshipped the way they are said to be..one cannot say one can worship them the way you want simply because you think your heart is pure or that god accepts whichever way the puja is offered to him...it might be true of other objects but not tantrik..this could be my experience...people like shree richardji and pt tataji are more authorised to speak on this..kindly share your experience and knowledge on this... warm regards aadi sacred-objects, "amit uniyal" <devshoppe wrote: > > Dear group members! > namaskar to all! > Ekakshi coconuts(nariyal) doesnot have any hole at opening... > Normally an ordinary coconut has 2 eyes and 1 mouth....thats the only > reason its used in temple for offerings....when coconuts are offered > to god...it gives the punya of human sacrifice. > > The main diference between ekakshi and normal coconuts is that ekakshi > coconut has just one eye and one broad mouth(same like of an human) > > The water is not drained and there is no hole near the stem part.. > I personally dont believe in draining of water as its not good to do > altarations with natural objects....these should be kept as it is.. > > thanks > amit uniyal >
