Guest guest
Om Namah Sivaya ‘The true religious man is he who does not commit any sin even when he is alone, and when no man observes him, because he feels that God sees him even then. He who can resist the temptations of a young and seductive woman in a lone forest, where he is unobserved by human eyes, through the fear that God sees him and who, through such fear, will not even cast an immoral glance at her, he is truly a religious man. He who finds a bag full of gold in a lonely an uninhabited house, and resists the temptation of appropriating it, he is truly religious man. But he who practises religion for the sake of show, through fear of public opinion, cannot be called truly religious. The religion of silence and secrecy is the true religion, but it is all sham mockery when attended with vaunting and vanity.’ -----Sri Ramakrishna Tirumantiram by Rishi Tirumular Verse 1533: God is Beyond All Formal Faiths They founded the formal Faiths, Yet they found Him not; What the formal Faiths talk of is not He; Do you yourself in faith seek Him, And be resolved of doubts all; And then sure you shall enter your Father’s Mansion. Commentary : Being materialistic, the formal faiths do not lead to the final state that is far beyond duality. Verse 1538 : Contending Faiths Do Not Help The contending Paths are like the braying asses; The Pure Siva is all-pervasive; They seek Him not by the right Path, And so are not free from IMPURITIES; They shall grow insane Entangled in the whirl of birth and death. Verse 1545 : God is beyond All Religions This is right path, that the right path Be not tossed in such frail human doubts; Seek the Being that is beyond wilderness of doubts His is the Form that is flawless.
