Guest guest
Dea Ananthasree, This is very moving! Sweta An example of Ammas Grace! Please read Namah Shivayah, I thought I would share a touching "Amma's Omnipresence" story that happened to me today. I hope it will inspire you! For some reason I bolted out of bed this morning after only two hours sleep. Anyone who knows me, will attest to the fact that this is a miracle in itself I had an appointment later in the day, but decided to go to a coffee shop and just relax and catch up on my reading since I could not get back to sleep. This might be a common thing for some people, but I think the last time I went to a coffee shop by myself to relax and read was about 12 years ago. It was odd that I had the compulsion to do this...and I ended up at Starbucks of all places. Again, totally out of character for me. So, with me I had the new Amma book "Ultimate Success" and another book. I found a comfy chair by the window and settled in to read, all the while thinking how odd it was that I felt the need to go to Starbucks after shooting out of bed at 6AM. I must note before I continue here that I have never met anyone who even KNOWS WHO AMMA IS in the area in which I live. As I sat there, I heard my inner voice tell me that someone was going to walk through the door who needed to see Amma's face or talk about Amma. I kept pushing this inner voice back, as I considered it the WAY TOO CREATIVE ramblings of my mind. Still, the feeling persisted that someone was going to come into the coffee shop that Amma wanted to reach. Again, I pushed it back thinking it was my own ridiculous musings. I also thought to myself, "OK, well if this is true....how will I know and what the heck can I do about it? It's not like I can stand up and address the whole coffee shop asking "IS ANYONE HERE LOOKING FOR AMMA?" LOL NOW....there was ONLY ONE EMPTY CHAIR in the whole place and it just happened to be next to me. An elderly woman came in and sat down next to me. As soon as she sat next to me, I was overwhelmed with the feeling that THIS WAS the person I had been thinking would come and would need to see Amma's face. There is the most beautiful photo of Amma on the cover of the book I am reading. I came up with an idea to test and see if I was hearing Amma or if I was just thinking way too creatively and needed to shut down my overactive imagination! I decided to get up and get another cup of tea. I took my purse and phone, but left behind the AMMA BOOK face up on the table beside me along with my other book, so it was clear I was "saving my spot". IMAGINE MY SHOCK when I was headed back to my table to see that woman next to me quickly placing the Amma book back on the table! Now, the book was face down and in an awkward position. She looked embarassed, but I smiled....now reeling in the bliss that my impressions might be correct after all. After about 5 minutes, she turned to me and asked "That woman on the book cover....is her name Amma?" I MELTED. I went on to breifly explain that I was a devotee. The woman went on to tell me that she had just been discussing Amma with some friends of hers who had gone to see Amma last year and were now trying to convince her to go for Darshan in July!! She asked me many questions about Amma and I was able to give her a card of Amma that had the ashram website address on it. We parted with huge smiles and I told her we would probably see each other again in July. I walked away from this humbled and awed. I realized that the whole reason I shot up after two hours sleep, headed to Starbucks of all places, and felt that I should place the book on the table with Amma's beaming smile...ALL OF THAT.....ALL OF THAT.....was so that Amma could get a message to one of her children she has yet to meet!! When I left, I cried in joy. I never cease to be amazed! There I was going about my unusual morning, not even knowing what Amma had in store for me!! And I also learned to listen to that "inner voice"....because sometimes it is the voice of Amma herself. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JAI JAI JAI JAI JAI JAI MA!!!! Ananthasree Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
