Question from Steve:

This is regarding Nanda's retelling of the story where Swamiji offered

everything to the Goddess, and was only completely satisfied after he

had found the 5 rupee note and had offered that as well. My question is

how did Swamiji live then? Was it a matter of, whatever the godess

wishes me to receive to live, that is what i will live on? Thank you for

your time.

 

Swamiji's response:

I didn't have a lot at that time, but when I sat for this particular

puja, I offered everything. At the end of the puja whatever I received

was prasad from worship. It all became the Grace of the Goddess.
